Ramses II

During the second intermediate period, the ancient Egypt civilization was weak in the economy. In the 19th dynasty of ancient Egypt, Ramses are able to restore ancient Egypt into its Glory. Ramses is a very significant king because of his achievements, even until today Ramses is still a very significant pharaoh. There are many things we can learn from Ramses, some of them are standing against the stream, mastering his education, and to against mediocrity.

Ramses dares to stand against the stream by not following the previous pharaoh. Ramses know that mass production is cheap in value, but only the unique or the masterpiece has when expensive value. One of the examples is having the courage to stand on the front line in the war rather than staying, comfortably inside the palace and get captured in shame when the soldiers lost the battle. For the self application, it shows me that what the stream or the crowds do it is not always the right thing to do. I should use more of my own discernment and pray to God so that I may know and do what is right.

Ramses masters his education both with Moses when they are trained together. Ramses has a very good calculations skill; therefore he was able to come up with many new innovations for example the Abu Simbel temple. For the self application, I can see that education is very important for everyone how simple or complicated it is. I decide to the more focus on my study so that I would also be able to come up with many new innovation that will also be useful to this world.

Ramses are also able to achieve many great things because he is against mediocrity. Because Ramses is against mediocrity, he comes up with many new innovation and ideas. Ramses dares to try out new things that would benefit people’s life and become useful. Ramses also challenge the engineers to make many new innovation and design that would last long. For the self application, I should explore and try new things in my life so that I could be creative with ideas and I could make also many innovations that will be useful for human beings. I should get out from my comfort zone and use my time in my life wisely. I want to be useful for the world rather than wasting my time.

For the conclusion, Ramses is being irrelevant to the previous pharaoh and he wants to make things different by trying out new things that would be useful for people. He successfully achieves many things and be a very significant person until today. He decides to use his life to discover many new things rather than staying in his comfort zone and waste his life for nothing. He doesn’t care what people think about him, but he wants to use the best of his life and develop to his full potential and become very significant to the human civilization until today.
