Purpose of God through our Authority (111B14)

As a human being we are all created according to the purpose of God such that; moreover, the purpose of God is unique for each and every one of us. Although God has a good purpose for us in our life, He gave us the freedom to choose. In general, there are three choices for us to choose referring to the unique purpose of God for our life; they are to reject it, neglect it, or to respect it. Focusing on the choice of rejection, we can see that people often reject the purpose of God for their life. People often made this choice because they think that they are smarter and that they know better. In the Bible the clear example of the people that rejects the purpose of God are the Pharisees. It is mentioned in Luke 7:30 that the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John. The Pharisees rejected the purpose of God by not wanting to be baptized by John considering themselves as the experts in the Torah laws.
In the world today, a clear example of people who chooses to reject the Purpose of God for their life is the youngsters who rebel against their authority, especially when being disciplined. Sometimes this could be caused by the human nature of pride just like the Pharisees thinking that they are smarter than their authority. They prefer to follow their own way of life rather than the authority that disciplined or criticize them for their own good purpose; consequently, they end up making wing choices in their life and walking in the wrong way through their life.
The youngsters should be able to understand that their authorities disciplined or criticize them for their own good purpose; moreover, the good purpose of the authority for them originated from the good purpose of God for their life. The Bible mentioned in Romans 13:1-2, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resist the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves.” This verse clearly state that we should obey our authorities since they are appointed by God such that when we reject their good purpose, we are also rejecting the good purpose of God which will lead us to the wrong path in our life. On the other hand, when we respect and obey and respect the good purpose of God, our life will be guaranteed for blessings and will be so much easier as stated in Romans 8:28.
As a personal application, I often rebel to my mother when she discipline and criticize me since I'm too proud of myself thinking that I’m smarter than her. Now I realized that although I may be smarter than my mother, she is still older than me with much more experience of life compared to me. It has been proven so many times that when I disobey my mother, I end up failing on my own choice and regretting of my wrong decision proving that what she said is right. I should understand that she always have a good purpose for me in all her criticism towards me representing the good purpose of God for my life; therefore, I should respect and obey her words at all time in order for me to also respect the God and His good purpose for my life.
As a conclusion, God have a good and unique purpose for all of his creation; however, God also gave freewill to us as a human being to choose. Regarding the good purpose of God for us, there are three general choices that we can make, to reject it, to neglect it, or to respect it. Some people often decided to reject the purpose of God where they do not accept it because of their pride thinking that they are smart. In the world today, this case is clearly seen in youngsters who reject the good purposes of their authorities by rebelling and disobeying when disciplined or criticized. They should understand that the good purpose of their authorities is in alignment to God’s good purpose for our life such that when we reject the good purpose of God, we will walk in the wrong path. On the other hand, when we obey and respect the good purpose of God, our life will be much easier and blessed.
