In the Humanities class, I learned about the Garden of Eden. I get three main points from these lectures which are the land of Eden, Sanctuary, and our purpose of life. I will talk about these three things in my journal.
According to the theism worldview, the Garden of Eden is where the live of men originated. It was written in Genesis exactly the location of the Garden of Eden. It was located on Mount Ararat. Connecting with the story of Noah, the Arc was also landed on top of Mount Ararat. The flood that was sent by God really reset the whole world, but the starter is Noah. The scientist has made research about Eden but found only the rivers, and the mountain. For the self application, I was used to think that the Garden of Eden is somewhere beyond the universe because I’ve never paid attention to the verse in the bible that tells the location of the Garden of Eden. I must pay more attention to details in the bibles. I relies today that the Bible has a very accurate statement. This lecture inspires me another goal of my life which is to search for the Garden of Eden.
The hidden meaning of the Garden of Eden is the steps of sins and success that will affect our life. The three steps are sanctuary, homeland or family, then world. For example, Adam starts the sins from the sanctuary as in the Garden of Eden, it then affected his family which is Cain and Abel, then it goes to the world sins that makes God restart the whole world by the flood. For the self application, I was used to never think of my next generation, but now I relies that, the sins will affect the whole world. I need to change the way I think, I need to know that every little good things I do will give benefits to my next generation and the whole world. That can show my purpose of life.
According to the first commandment that was given in Adam in Genesis, our purpose of life is to be fruitful and multiply. We were originally created in the Garden of Eden which is located at the top of Mount Ararat according to Genesis, therefore we feel peaceful when we are in the garden. The other purpose of life we can see is that for we to go back to the Garden of Eden where we were firstly created. Today there is high-rise building that’s built around the world because they feel peaceful on the top of the floor, the reason is that because we are created in a mountain and we all love gardens. For the self application, I need to do the commandments that God have given to me so that I can achieve my destiny to be where I was originally created.
For the conclusion, In the Humanities class, I learned about the Garden of Eden. I get three main points from these lectures which are the land of Eden, Sanctuary, and our purpose of life. Our purpose of life is to get back to be we were originally created in the Garden of Eden.
