The History of Israel (Touchstones)

Israel as we known today is the nation of God. Jesus, the almighty God, is even known as a Hebrew or as Israelites. In the Israelites history, there are three main touch stone which is the three section from covenant, law and, land of figure, location, image, event, paradigm, governments, and attributes. In this journal I will talk about three main sections of the Touchstones which is the covenant, law, and the land.

In the covenant, God choose Abraham as the figure of his covenant to people because he is the Father of all Christianity. He was saved from the Ancient Mesopotamian pagan culture and the fake nation of Nimrod. It is actually Abraham and Lot which is saved by God, but later then Lot chose his own separate way to go to the city of Sodom and Gomorra which is pleasing to the human eye, but not to God and it is not safe for the family, while Abraham chose to obey God and seek the promise land though it doesn’t look pleasing to the human eye, but is it pleasing to God’s eye and it is safe for the family which is around the Mt. Moriah, the place where Abraham is told to sacrifice Isaac to the Lord, and God gives Abraham the form of Eden to wherever Abraham went because Abraham always worship God in his heart, and it is seen when he always make altars for sacrifice everywhere he goes. Where God leads him to go it’s actually the marking place or as the perimeter, we call today, of the City of Jerusalem. For the self application, I learn that I always obey God to wherever He leads, me I will succeed and make history so that my life is no a waste.

As the law, Moses is the one who receive the 10 commandments from the Lord at Mt. Sinai and it was kept in a mobile tabernacle so that it can be moved everywhere the Israelites go and led by God. The Pentecost celebrated today actually doesn’t begin with the Holy Spirit that was obtained by the Disciples of Jesus after the cruixifiction, but it reminds us of the 50 days celebration from when the Israelites are saved from the Egyptians by God and led by Mosses. For the self-application, I see that when I follow God wherever He goes and wherever he leads me to go, I will be always save from my enemies, because God never mislead and He will always protect me when I trust in Him.

The land is more symbolized to David because he is the one who request to God to build the temple of God in Mt. Zion which today is Jerusalem. Though he didn’t build the Temple of God, he prepares it for his son to build it, so he opens the way of God’s kingdom to the earth. The way the temple of God is built is different from how the other architectures are built, for example the Egyptians build the pyramid by forced laborers or slaves and many of them died on the process, but when they build the temple of God, the people work with their own motivation and not a single of the worker died during the process of the construction. For the self application, when we open the way for righteousness, I can see that I will be remembered as well. I should care for others so that I may lead them to the Lord and righteousness.

For the conclusion, as we known today is the nation of God. Jesus, the almighty God, is even known as a Hebrew or as Israelites. In the Israelites history, there are three main touch stone which is the three section from covenant, law and, land of figure, location, image, event, paradigm, governments, and attributes. The most lessons learned is that if I am willing to listen to God and follow all His orders or directions properly, than I shall succeed in my life and make a great history to my next generation.
